Zen Work Table

A class project for learning the machine shop in metal and wood. It was the largest piece I had made at the time, and I have since built a second table.

Process

I sketched several possible objects before choosing the table, then modelled it in CAD. I bent and welded the frame, finished the wooden top, and machined a metal tray to set into the surface.
