About

Genevieve Dandurand on a terrace above the water at golden hour

I’m a product designer based in Santa Monica. I studied Product Design Engineering at Stanford and graduated in 2025 with Honors in the Arts.

Training

My degree combined human-centered design and need-finding at the d.school with the full mechanical engineering core: CAD, FEA, and fabrication with 3D printing, laser cutting, the mill, the lathe and welding. I also studied UI/UX, and took classes in computer science, art and psychology. I learned from David Kelley, founder of IDEO and the d.school, and Bill Burnett, author of Designing Your Life.

Background

I grew up at Harmony Glassworks, my father’s glassblowing studio and gallery on California’s Central Coast. I have blown glass since I was five and made ceramics since I was ten. Selling my work outside the gallery became Pottery for Education, a business I ran through college.

Now

I’m developing PlayDate toward a Kickstarter launch, making ceramic candle vessels for Palos, and developing new mobile designs.
